Choose to pre-fund your plan to secure today’s affordable cremation prices or let your family pay when the time comes for services. We don’t require you to pay ahead of time, and we’ll never pressure you during the cremation planning process.
Start with a Phone Call
Whether you’ve pre-planned your cremation or you’ve got an immediate need, making cremation arrangements when the time comes starts with a simple phone call. Call our Smart Family Arrangers to let us know of your loved one’s passing. We’ll work closely with you to collect the necessary details that enable us to handle the logistics of cremation.
We’ll Arrange Transportation
Once we’ve collected the details we need, our Smart Family Arrangers set up transportation for your loved one. We’ll use the Smart Assurance Identification System to monitor your loved one from the moment we take them into our care until they are hand-delivered to your family (delivery options include, hand deliver, shipping within the US by USPS or an unwitnessed scatter at sea.)
Smart Cremation Handles All of the Paperwork
We’ll handle the paperwork, so you don’t have to. The experienced Smart Cremation staff collects the required signatures, and we file the appropriate paperwork, including:
The death certificate
Cremation permits
Disposition permits
We’ll even get certified copies of the death certificate for the myriad details related to end-of-life arrangements – all you need to do is ask.
Cremation Process
With the paperwork in place, the cremation is performed. The Smart Assurance Identification System chain of custody provides peace of mind for families throughout the cremation process, including during cremation itself. Once cremation is complete, we’ll collect the remains and gather them in a keepsake urn.
Returning the Remains or Scattering at Sea
When the cremation is finished, we make arrangements to return the temporary container to you or scatter them at sea – whatever you’d prefer. Alternately, if we’re performing a veteran’s cremation, and at the request of the family, we arrange to transport the remains to the National Cemetery. We strive to honor your wishes, and we handle the remains after cremation in whatever manner you’d prefer.
A Smart Cremation is a Simple Cremation
Ultimately, our goal at Smart Cremation is to simplify the cremation process. We don’t want your family to feel overwhelmed in a time of grief, so our experienced staff collects the required details and handles the arrangements for you. If you’re looking for a simple, affordable cremation, call Smart Cremation today at 503-402-2578.
